We collect information in three main ways.

Payment information
If you pay a booking payment, balance, or other charge online, payment details are handled through a secure payment provider. We do not ask you to send full payment details through our contact form or email. We receive payment status, limited transaction details, and billing information needed to provide services, issue refunds, keep records, and respond to disputes.
How we use your information

- Confirm availability, prepare quotes, and manage bookings.
- Provide photography coverage, editing, galleries, albums, and related services.
- Process booking payments, balances, refunds, tax records, and accounting records.
- Send service messages about your booking, timeline, gallery, policy updates, or account-related matters.
- Protect the website, prevent fraud, enforce our terms, and comply with legal obligations.
- Improve our website, services, workflows, and customer experience.
Why we use information (legal bases)
We use information to answer requests, provide services you ask for, keep the website and business secure, honor legal recordkeeping requirements, and improve the client experience. If a law requires consent for optional messages or non-essential cookies, we will ask for it.
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Responding to inquiries and preparing quotes | Steps at your request before a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering people who write to us. |
| Booking, coverage, galleries, and albums | Performance of the photography agreement. |
| Booking payments, balances, refunds, and tax records | Contract performance and legal obligation. |
| Website security, abuse prevention, and diagnostic logs | Legitimate interest in keeping the site and records secure. |
| Optional live chat and other non-essential cookies | Consent, withdrawn at any time through Cookie Settings. |
How we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only as needed to operate our business, provide services, or comply with law. Current service providers include Cloudflare (hosting and security), Migadu (inbound email), Resend (transactional email from the contact form), Termly (cookie consent), and tawk.to (optional live chat after you allow performance cookies). We may also use gallery-delivery, print or album vendors, professional advisors, and government or legal authorities when required. A future Stripe-hosted checkout, if activated, would receive only the payment information you enter on Stripe’s page.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use Termly to present cookie choices and to block optional scripts until you allow them. Necessary technology can run to keep the site secure and functional. Functional, analytics, and marketing tools load only when allowed by your region, browser signal, or saved choice. Learn more in our Cookie Policy and adjust choices on our Privacy Choices page.
How long we keep information
| Data type | Typical retention | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Inquiries not booked | Up to 24 months after last contact. | Follow-up, availability history, and business records. |
| Booking and contract records | Up to 7 years after completion, or longer if required. | Tax, accounting, dispute, and legal recordkeeping. |
| Galleries and deliverables | As stated in your agreement or gallery notice. | Service delivery and reasonable client access. |
| Payment and refund records | Up to 7 years, or longer if required. | Accounting, fraud prevention, refunds, and disputes. |
| Security logs | Usually less than 24 months unless needed for investigation. | Website security, debugging, and fraud prevention. |
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to your information, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, or an explanation of how we use and disclose personal information.
California residents
California residents also have rights to know, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive information uses, and receive non-discriminatory treatment for exercising rights. Use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the footer or the Cookie Settings control to keep marketing tools off.
Categories collected in the last 12 months are the rows in the table above (contact and inquiry information, booking and service information, payment and billing status, and website or device information). We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics, and we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as the site is currently configured.
To make a privacy request, email hello@weddingphotographyfortworth.com or call+1 (854) 226-1376. Those are two independent methods. You may also use the instructions on our Privacy Choices page. We may verify your request before acting on it. We aim to respond to a verified request within 45 days, or within 90 days if we tell you that extra time is needed.
We are a small photography studio and have not appointed a Data Protection Officer. Privacy requests go to the contact details on this page.
Children's privacy
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
International visitors
We are based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States by us and by Cloudflare, Resend, Termly, and tawk.to. For those transfers we rely on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914) and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum where UK GDPR applies. Migadu receives inbound studio email in Switzerland, which the Commission treats as adequate. If a named provider cannot support those clauses for a transfer, we will stop using that provider for the affected processing.
Records of processing
We keep internal records of the processing described on this page: contact-form inquiries, Termly consent choices we receive, booking and payment status, and security logs. Those records exist so we can answer privacy requests, meet tax and legal duties, and investigate incidents. They are not a public register.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website or transmission method is completely secure. If we learn of a personal-data breach, we will investigate, contain it, and notify affected people and authorities where the law requires it, including the GDPR 72-hour supervisory notice when that regulation applies. Learn more on our Trust and Security page.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or another reasonable method where appropriate.
